Iowa State Plan for Independent Living (SPIL) Consumer Input Meeting
The Iowa Statewide Independent Living Council, Iowa Vocational Rehabilitation Services, and Iowa Department for the Blind will be holding two separate meetings to obtain consumer input on the new three year State Plan for Independent Living (SPIL), which goes into effect October 1, 2010 through September 30, 2013.
The first meeting will be held from 1:30 am to 3:30 pm on Tuesday, June 15th at the Council Bluffs Public Library - Meeting Rooms A & B (400 Willow Avenue Council Bluffs, IA 51503). A free light lunch will be provided to participants.
A second meeting will be held in Marion, Iowa (Cedar Rapids area) on Friday, June 18th from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm at the Kirkwood Training and Outreach Center (KTOS) at 3375 Armar Drive, Marion, Iowa. A free light lunch will be provided to participants.
The SPIL is the plan for strengthening and expanding the Independent Living Network in Iowa, and specifically to expanding Center for Independent Living Services across Iowa. The draft of the new SPIL will be available on the SILC website at www.iowasilc.org by June 4th for you to review.
